Community groups include:

  • Activity Planning and Fundraising

Our mission is to continue to build on the success of SJF60 and support our parish and parishioners. Our community is thriving and we have been working on engaging the groups that may not be fully accessing our parish, so part of our work is to create activities and events to promote integration. New ideas are much needed to build on the fantastic work already underway.

Our meeting is usually on the first Monday of the month at 7pm in the Parish centre. Planned activities will be posted in the community page.

  • Aesthetics Team

The Aesthetics Team is responsible for creating and maintaining a visually appealing and spiritually uplifting environment within the parish. They plan and deliver decorations for special events ensuring each theme reflects the spiritual meaning of the occasion. The team also sources cost-effective materials for decorations, without compromising on quality. They work closely with Pastoral Council, parishioners and other teams to ensure a cohesive and aligned approach to parish aesthetics.

  • Grounds and Gardens

The church gardens should be welcoming for all, especially to newcomers and to help encourage people to return. It should be appealing and simplistic – first impressions are important! Just as inside the church, it should be a place of calm and reflection for contemplating with the Holy Spirit through prayer, whether at the grotto or on the benches. The goal is to be proactive instead of reactive. This also includes attending the immediate area outside the Presbytery as per Father Marco’s wishes.
