A Rosary for Vulnerable People
During the General Audience on Wednesday, Pope Francis invited the faithful to pray the Rosary, reminding them that May 8 is the feast of Our Lady of Lujan, Patroness of Argentina. “May she, Mother of God and our Mother,” he said, “intercede for us and obtain for us from Her Son the necessary graces in this difficult time that the world is going through.” The Holy Father said that Friday he will be with the pilgrims in Lujan in spirit.
This week, the US Bishops Conference Justice for Immigrants have issued a daily Rosary for Vulnerable People on the Move. This resource provides reflections on various vulnerable migrant populations, directions on how to pray the Rosary, and text for each of the prayers. Each day of the week focusses on a separate at-risk group of migrants facing increased challenges during these tumultuous times. Monday will be centered on child migrants, Tuesday on refugees, Wednesday is focused on human trafficking victims, Thursday on migrant families, and Friday is for asylum seekers.
